What's your favourite fun fact that you love to share with Horsley Estate couples?

One of my favourite fun facts about Horsley Estate is that it was once the ancestral home for the Lovelace family, Ada Lovelace was the daughter of the Victorian romantic poet Lord Byron. It's the finer details and special touches of the venue and wedding couple that I love to include within Wedition. What's your favourite fun fact that you love to share with wedding couples?

The Great Hall has 150 coats of arms on display from families that Lord Lovelace was acquainted to. You will find some around the room that have been rubbed off, this was where he had fallen out with them! His own version of a Christmas card list!

What is your absolute favourite location for an iconic wedding day photograph at Horsley Estate?

Outside near the lake with the lake, fountain and Italian Tower in the background is truly magical.

Tell me about your bridal suite at Horsley Estate

Our bridal suite consists of a super king bed, lounge area, walk in wardrobe and large bathroom with a roll top bath, walk in shower and his and hers sink. This room also looks over the croquet lawn, terrace and our beautiful grounds.

How do the Horsley Estate team make a wedding day so unique?

Our dedicated team are with you throughout, from your first show round to collecting any leftover cake after your wedding day. We will provide you with a dressing room to get ready in the morning of your wedding where a member of the team will deliver breakfast items to you and ensure you have the best start to your special day. They are then on hand throughout the day and you also receive a complimentary dinner, bed and breakfast stay within your package so you get to relive your big day all over a year later.

Is there anything else I should know about De Vere Horsley Estate wedding?

Have you heard about our Groom's Room? We have made use of the original pump house to the lake to create our very own games room/pub for the Groom (or Bride) the night prior. This consists of a full size snooker table, ping pong table, table football, dart board, poker set and 65" plasma TV. You and your loved ones can enjoy the night prior and relax knowing you are already onsite and no need to travel to get to your venue the next morning. Our team will also deliver pizza and beers to you!

• Real candles or LED candles? We allow both!
• Can we stay over the night before our wedding? Yes you can, the more the merrier!
• What time do guests have to leave? Check out is at 10am but you are then welcome to stay, have breakfast, use our swimming pool and gym facilities or take a nice walk around our grounds.
