Festival Wedding Invites | Surrey Wedfest
by Liz GathererI was extremely excited to receive my invite to exhibit at Surrey's first ever wedding festival, Surrey Wedfest! An alternative way for couples to organise their special day. This was to be a festival themed wedding fair based at Robert Denholm House. The plan was to have 50 hand picked exhibitors from photographers to tipis, florists to unique wedding festival ideas.
Surrey Festival Wedding
I have not exhibited outdoors before so I decided to team up with my friend Angie from Borrow Mae, I would use Mae, a beautiful baby blue split screen 1972 traditional T2 Camper to exhibit my festival wedding invites and personalised wedding magazines. And what a great idea it turned out to be! Angie had left Mae at Robert Denholm House the night before for a sleepover so we travelled to the Surrey venue in my car, we were filled with excitement at what the day may hold! Upon arrival it was all hands on deck to get Mae in position and then prepare for the 300 brides, grooms and entourage who would be joining us for this bright and sunny day. Angie had picked a beautiful selection of flowers from her garden and created stunning floral displays for Mae, she had also made a rhubarb cooler, much needed as the temperature was rising!
Festival Wedding Invites
I displayed various personalised wedding magazines and festival invitations on Mae's shelf, the display looked superb (if I do say so myself). The great thing about Wedition is that it is so highly personalised, I will style your festival program invitation using your choice of colours and can include any information you might like. Perhaps inside your wedding festival invite you will want to share the accommodation details, the itinerary for the weekend, perhaps you need to let your guests know that they should bring flat shoes for the ceremony and cash for the bar, perhaps they will need to bring their own snacks and you will be providing a selection of food that they need to choose in advance. You may share your proposal story, how you met or introduce the wedding party, the list is limitless and the choice is yours!
