For many couples, they have a pet at home whom they absolutely adore and would probably secretly love for them to be involved in their wedding day in some way or another. Most couples will appreciate that there are so many practicalities to consider - hoops and hurdles to jump over in terms of permission from the venue (and whether it is a pet friendly wedding venue) and the need for extra public liability insurance, so more often than not, the pet will remain at home, cared for by a neighbour or perhaps they will visit an animal boarding place for the day. Some couples though, will make all the necessary arrangements and their pet will appear on their wedding day as a surprise ring bearer or for an hour during the reception for a fun photo opportunity.

Exclusive photos and interview with your pet at your wedding

Our personalised bespoke brochures are unique keepsakes given to your guests on the day of your wedding. We'll find out exactly what you would like included, from your proposal story and wedding stationery essentials, to interviews with your wedding party and pets!

During a face-to-face video call, we can find out all about your pet and what they mean to you, you can tell us their loves, likes and things that make them go wild, email over your favourite photos of them and we'll create an article written from their perspective. It could be hilarious, soppy or sentimental, it will certainly match your pet's personality traits!

Real Wedition weddings: H&A chose an equestrian theme to go with their yellow and grey wedding colour scheme. We crafted an interview with their horses and dog and created an equestrian theme throughout their personalised wedding magazine with horse silhouettes, hoof prints and rosettes.

Words of wisdom on your wedding day - from your pet!

If you do not fancy a whole page dedicated to your pet but would still like them to feature within your Wedition, then take inspiration from Wedition couple C&M, your pet could pop up here and there with some really witty quotes and words of wisdom within your Wedition, making them a fun part of the day but without stealing too much of the limelight!

Real Wedition weddings: C&M's dog Conor popped up within their Wedition from sharing fun facts and funny comments to letting the cat out of the bag (so to speak), he was the one that M practised his proposal speech to on their dog walks together!

Wedding colouring page with your pet as the star!

You may wish to include a colouring page within your Wedition for your younger guests to enjoy during the speeches (although we have been asked to create a colouring in page for an adult only wedding before!). We can create colouring pages from photos if you wish to ensure the likeness or we can create a more cartoon style picture.

Real Wedition weddings: Dachshund Nigella had her own colouring page within H&E’s Wedition as well as a funny interview along with her doggy pals.

Pets as part of your charity work on your wedding day

In the past, we have had a bride who has done a huge amount of volunteer work for Guide Dogs for the Blind, from fundraising for them to providing a home for the puppies and starting their training off. It was important to our bride to share the important work of the charity with her family and friends on her wedding day, so she asked us to include an article all about the charity's work, along with pictures of puppies that she had personally supported.

Real Wedition weddings: R&M’s Wedition not only included an article with their two dogs but also an article on Guide Dogs for the Blind. Their front cover featured the couple with their two dogs, and they gave a special mention to R’s beloved dog who had passed away, as well as a very special horse loved by the whole family, these much loved and missed pets were included in an “in memory of” article.

Sharing fun facts about your pets with your wedding guests

For most of our couples, they have one or two pets and having an article written by them is the perfect way to include them. However many pets you have though, we can find a way to include them.

Real Wedition weddings: One of our Wedition brides breeds horses and wanted all eleven of them to feature in her Wedition, along with the stable cat and two dogs. We were able to do this by including each horse’s show name, nickname, photo and brief bio. For the dogs, we created fact-filled post cards and lots of cute photos.
