Real Weddings: Hannah & Rob's Art deco inspired gold & burgundy wedding

Rob had a glass of rosé waiting for Hannah when she arrived on their first date, so things got off to a great start for this couple! Hannah and Rob chose Northbrook Park in Surrey for their art deco themed wedding, they chose burgundy and gold for their colour scheme.

Hannah and Rob wanted to share their love story with their family and friends in a special way and found the perfect way to do this with Wedition, a personalised keepsake booklet which they gave to their guests on the day of their wedding. Their Wedition was styled to compliment their colour scheme of burgundy and gold and was designed to match their art deco wedding invitations.

Hannah and Rob included their proposal story within their personalised wedding magazine along with an introduction to their wedding party, an exclusive interview with their three page boys and even an interview with their stunning border collie Leo! The couple’s favourite photos were included, not just of the pair of them together as a couple, but also their childhood photos! There was a fun ‘Who is more likely to…’ Mr and Mrs quiz as well as the all important wedding menu which was on the back cover.

Art deco gold and burgundy wedding cake

An impressive three tier wedding cake was designed for the couple by Quarter Past Cake incorporating their art deco wedding theme and colours of burgundy and gold. The bottom layer had a velvet effect with gold geometric shapes whilst the two top tiers had a more subtle block effect.

Sweetie table for art deco themed wedding with gold and burgundy

A really fun addition to the day was the sweetie table which was available to guests to help themselves to at the wedding reception. There was a fine selection of sweets along with gold calligraphy treat bags and art deco props including burgundy feather fans, pearl necklaces and mirrors, a subtle nod to the couple’s love of film.

Burgundy groom’s outfit at an art deco themed wedding

The groom choose a dark navy blue suit with tweed waistcoat, burgundy velvet tie and completed his look with a gold pocket watch.

An ideal venue for an art deco themed wedding

Hannah and Rob had attended a friend’s wedding in April 2016 at Northbrook Park and fell in love with the venue, even though they were no-where near to getting engaged at that time, they knew it was the perfect setting for their art deco inspire wedding day.

Hannah and Rob used their Wedition to introduce their wedding party to their guests and even included a fun interview with their three page boys.
