What's your favourite fun fact that you love to share with Waddesdon Manor couples?

One of my favourite fun facts about Waddesdon Manor is that when Queen Victoria came to visit in 1890, a small passenger lift was put in for her by the estate’s owner - Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild. But the queen declined to ride in the lift, not trusting the magic of electricity! It’s the finer details and special touches of the venue and wedding couple that I love to include within Wedition. What’s your favourite fun fact that you love to share with wedding couples?

The Dairy used to house Baron Ferdinand de Rothschilds prized cattle and we like to tell the couples exactly where when showing them around the venue. It explains the character of the venue and is such a nice little fact for them to take away and tell guests.

What is your absolute favourite location for an iconic wedding day photograph at Waddesdon Manor?

We love the water feature right by the beautiful secret garden, it’s so magical and we love to send our brides and grooms exploring round there.

Tell me about your bridal suite at Waddesdon Manor?

The Five Arrows Hotel can be hired exclusively for Dairy brides and grooms. The bridal suite there consists of a gorgeous boutique country style room with an amazing four poster bed to make the couple feel like royalty.

How do the Waddesdon Manor team make a wedding day so unique?

I think that couples love that they exclusively use the venue and no other wedding parties or guests are around. Guests can wander around the stunning grounds at their own leisure and the history of the venues are an interesting talking point. Not to mention the opportunity for photos outside the manor!

Why do you love having Wedition as one of your recommend suppliers and what is it about a Wedition wedding that stands out so much? 

We love that Wedition can create such a fun piece of memorabilia for the big day for couples. The fact that you can use it as a thank you is such a nice touch! It gives fabulous detail and also looks amazing.

Quick Waddesdon Manor Facts

• Maximum capacity for wedding breakfast guests: 130 guests.
• Maximum capacity for evening guests: You can invite a further 30 guests in the evening.
• Real candles or LED candles? Real of course!
• Can we stay over the night before our wedding? Couples can decide to exclusively hire the Five Arrows Hotel the night before the wedding as well as the day of the wedding!
• What time do guests have to leave? The hire of the Dairy is from 8am-12midnight but you can decide to extend this until 1am if you want to carry on the party.
