I was delighted to speak with Hayley Reid, Senior Wedding and Events Coordinator in more detail about this stunning wedding venue.

What's your favourite fun fact that you love to share with Aviator couples?

One of my favourite things about Aviator is its incredible architecture and the stunning details that seamlessly link in with aviation. It’s the finer details and special touches of the venue and wedding couple that I love to include within Wedition. What’s your favourite fun fact that you love to share with wedding couples?

What most don’t realise is that the aerial view of the hotel is designed in the shape of a plane propeller.

What is your absolute favourite location for an iconic wedding day photograph at The Aviator?

It has to be our central staircase and rotunda. There are so many photo opportunities available from this space that create really breathtaking photographs.

Tell me about your bridal suite at The Aviator

Our Sky Suites are located on the fourth floor of the hotel with panoramic views of the airfield. They all have a partially divided lounge area which gives ample space to get ready on the morning of the wedding. With a walk-in wardrobe there is also plenty of space to store your wedding dress.

How does the team at Aviator make a wedding day so unique?

The day is about you so we try to make sure that you feel extra special the whole day. During the planning stages we always try to learn as much about our couple to see if there are any extra touches that we can make. For example, one of our brides was telling me that fresh peppermint tea was her favourite thing after a night of partying. The day after the big night before, we of course made sure she was served fresh peppermint tea with her breakfast.

What do wedding couples love most about their wedding at Aviator?

Between the food, drink and the architecture they always mention the staff. We make sure that they feel relaxed and stress-free from the moment they arrive to the moment they depart as a married couple.
